oil smell and but no leek
hi everyone im new here and i dont have a scooby i have a 3 door cossy but i used to have a gravel express(wrx engined wagon)hope this doesnt offend yous
here we go
going to have a look at my mates scooby as its stinking of oil
but its not leeking any + the cams are rattly
we are going to give it an oil change i was just wondering if there are any oil breather pipes that could be cleaned out please help if you know what it could be

sounds like the rocker cover gasket, usually drivers side leaking very slightly onto the exhaust manifold. u wont see any oil as its burnt off, only takes a tiny drop to make a smell. u might see a slight haze of smoke around the turbo area. its a common problem, heat from the manifold fries the gasket. check out the front crank seal too. they tend to go around 100k
