Default STi Ver1/2 IC question

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm (with a picture if possible) that the ver1/2 STi cars (not the RA variants) came with the alloy IC feed pipe in place of the standard plastic part?

Everything I have read says yes, but a guy I know who says that he has has a few of these STi models and all of them had the plastic pipe. He says the only alloy feed pipe he has seen came off of an STi-RA ver1.

Thanks much,
Rob

My sti2 came with the metal feed but also had the optional blue silicone hose on the inlet to the ic too. This was the best flowing tmic of all time but didn't have the biggest core hence not the best for cooling!

Hope that helps

Thanks for the info! Certain it isn't an STi-RA verII and that the pipe is the stock part? Can you snap a picture of the pipe in your engine bay?

Anybody else?

Nope it is a lowly v2 sti. I will have to dig the ic out of the shed cause it hasn't been on in a long time!

My sti2 is now a sti2, 3, 5 & 6 hybrid ! (for various reasons)

Will try to get a photo when i can.
