Sorry if this is obvious but check that the ventilation control is not set to recirculate but is set to let air in from outside. Things can get pretty steamy if this is the case. Otherwise have a little look round for leaks or damp patches anywhere.

...make sure that you turn ON the air-con (even though you don't want to "cool" things), as this seems to dry the air a lot faster - especially on cold mornings.

My rear windows steam a lot - especially if theres two of us in the back

It is a pain - but air con and rear defrosters clear it up fairly quickly! Seems like we are all in the same boat then!!

Same for me this morning in my MY01, heavy condensation on the inside of both the front and rear screens. Took ages to clear (especially above the vents between the rear shelf and the boot). Put it down to the very wet night, damp footwells (rubber mats) and having damp boxes in the boot along with a sodden umbrella. But I was surprised - it was just the same as my old Daewoo Matiz!! Not looking forward to the real winter when it freezes inside the windows.
