Question

safer to ask a dumb question rather then getting caught out with no oil filter to put back on....

Am I right in thinking I can put a 'UK dealer's' oil filter onto a Japanese import.

And also, how many ltres of oil will fill a WRX from empty ?

The Subaru dealer filters are the same all over the world, so yes, use a dealer one, plus they are the safest.

You need no more than 4.5 litres of oil.

Have a read of these threads to help you decide on which oil you want to use. You will need a fair bit of time to read these 3 threads, but I recommend that every scooby owner should read these.

I paid £16 for my last oil filter from a local import specialist. How does this compare with the UK dealers ?
