I had my car mapped 3 weeks ago to 1.4 bar........
The gearbox went and it's been in the garage standing for three weeks......
Now it seems like it's only boosting up to 1.3?

I'm thinking the boost soleniod had gummed up but is there another possible reason?

3 weeks ago it was blood cold.
ambients now are up. this will make a fair difference.

you say you had it mapped to 1.4 bar but did you see this on the boost gauge? i.e are you sure its 0.1bar down on before?

 

It did register 1.4 on the gauge when it was first done?
but it was mapped to drop from 1.4-1.2 at about 5.8rpm.......

Didn't think about the cold weather though......
so the hotetr ti gets the more the boost will drop?

 

yep thats pretty much the way it works....colder air is already denser. Thats why cars always feel like theyve got a little more "go" in einter than summer. IMO.

Got mine back saturday but they had a slight mishap and reversed into another car.....so now I have to get the bumper re-sprayed at their expense.....nevermind.
