ECU lights on when low on petrol

ECU lights on when low on petrol
This has happened twice now. The first time when i picked the car and it was nearly empty amd just now. I dont usually leave it til the fuel light comes on but the ecu light has come on both times. Everything seems fine though. Should i be worried?
