Default Definitive steering boss advice for UK airbag equipped car

I've done a few searches on this but am confused. I have a MY99 UK Turbo and I have ordered an OMP wheel and Momo boss kit from Demon Tweeks.

Having read around on here it appears that the DT supplied boss is for Pre 96 cars, ie those without airbags. The DT chap tells me the boss will not fit directly on my car, and I can either return it for a refund or "machine it to fit".

He also told me that Prodrive sell a boss that will fit the car, anyone have one of these or know if this statement is true?

Cheers theotherphil - very helpful!

Do you have an aftermarket steering wheel, and if so, which boss did you use?

Haha, no I am still using the original wheel. I replied because you were told that pre 96 cars didn't have an airbag. Mine is a UK MY95 and it does have an airbag. Not sure if a UK car differs in that respect to an import but they should qualify their statement if it does. It sounds like they sold you a wheel and boss without checking whether it was suitable in the first place.
