Default What more mods could I add before my remap!

Had my 2004 WRX rolling roaded November at Powerstation and it made 310/290, with the following mods:

VF28 turbo
STI version 8 Intercooler
Modded intercooler splitter
510cc STI Pink top injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Prodrive Sports Cat
Decat uppipe and thermal wrapped
Decat midsection
Graham Goode Backbox
3-Port boost solenoid
Green Panal filter
STI Version 8 dump valve
ECUtek remap mapped by Rich at Powerstation
Samco intercooler hose

Ive bought some equal length headers, and they will be added before it is re-mapped, what else could I do. Anyone got any ideas.

AFAIK, the VF28 won't push much more than 320 bhp, so you're probably going to have to look at a bigger turbo if you're after alot more power.

TD05 16/18 perhaps?

Was thinking of changing to a induction kit, but did a search on here and read the Impreza Newage Modifications thread, and to be honest I dont really want to mess round with induction kits, So ill leave my uprated panal filter for the time being, and leave the induction kit until I go front mount in a few months time.

Also I want to try and push the VF28 to near its limits, before I think of getting a bigger turbo, and I might be tempted with one of Andy F Td05's to go with the front mount.

Ill see what the headers give me, and some other bolt on mods first.

Colder Plugs!

Forgot about spark plugs, any idea on which plugs to go for and wheres the best place to get them from.

Also might have to make a DIY IC spray system, my mate made one not long back, so ill get him to give me a hand..

Agree your not far off the limit of the vf28 already..... the rest of the spec is good,so might be better leaving that alone and putting the cash towards an uprated unit which would give you a greater increase under less stress than trying to max out the turbo you already have.......ihi units are relativly fragile at the limit compared to the td series i believe,as you say a hybrid andyf unit might be the ticket for you

Decat the downpipe.
and do the front mount you're already thinking about along with the headers
Front mount wont necessarilly give you any more but certainly makes it safer to run higher boost.
7B's wouldn't hurt either
Samco inlet pipe as well.

Decating the downpipe might be a idea!

How much difference would it make over the sports cat.

Andy ill be seeing you after all this is fitted for my remap.
