I have just got my hands on a 1998 uk turbo wagon.

I will be doing basic breathing mods etc. But wanted to know what are going to be my first tuning restrictions?

Ie injector sizing, fuel pump, turbo size?

Which ones are going to limit me first and at what sort of power? The turbo looks a little small, what kind of max boost can i look to run?

The td04 will be good for 270bhp'ish with no more than 290bhp I'd say but thats with a full decat and remap. Fuel pump should be sufficient upto 300bhp mark then Walbro pump will be needed.

First things first full decat, get a good panel filter in, ive got Green they come recommended. Avoid the ITG version as its oil based and can cause you problems stick to a dry paper filter.....sti is another.

Can always change the turbo for a td05 or possibly and hybrid version of the td04 which has been tested upto 325bhp mark....Andy Forest is the man u need to speak to if u go down that route.

Im sure other will provide more information or correct me if im wrong.
