is there any thoughts on how effective this cold air system would work ??? only interested in the cold air setup not the intercooler etc

yep that should work well as it will stop th hotair from the engine going in the the air filter.

which will help prevent heat soak and even det.

the top picture is the same as my own tmic. i didnt think the gt30r would drive well with that setup. is it worth tweaking the car on that setup just to find out how well it works ??

Looking again, it may be a very tight fit, as that car is left hand drive, so the turbo can be pushed away from the intercooler a little more than on RHD cars.
