any ideas or sugestions would be great, im new to subaru tuning so please feel free to comment

if it is fuel cut then it is hitting it for a reason... which you need to resolve..
removing the fuel cut will not solve the initial problem.

Is the speedo working correctly as it will cut out at 4500rpm with no speedo input to the ecu.

Do you have a boost gauge? what boost is it hitting when it cuts?

What are the mods on the car?

YES MATE, I JUST HAD IT FIXED THE THE EM LIGHT WAS ON

CUTS IN LOWER GEARS AT AROUND 5 PSI, AND HIGHER GEARS AT UPTO 16PSI. THIS DOESNT ALWAYS HAPPEN BUT VERY VERY OFTEN

DOWNPIPES, EXHAUST, DECAT, AIR FILTER, DUMP VALVE SUSPENSION, LITTLE BRACKET FOR THE BRAKES LOL (NO IDEA WHAT ITS CALLED) AND THATS ABOUT IT THAT I KNOW OF, IT RUNS UPTO 16PSI TOPS

did i reply to you on SIDC i remeber telling some one that a 1995 WRX doesnt hit 16psi with out it having some sort of chip, remap or boost controller.

and your fuel cut comes in around 15 psi.

some correct me if im wrong please.

has it got a boost controler ? if not has it got a bleed valve ? or a leek in one of the pipes to run that boost you will have one and the fuel cut will kick in have a look under the bonet you could undo lossen the actuater this will ease boost down my fuel cut has been kicking in a 5psi found this to be a kink in the pipe that tells my waste gate to open at 15psi now sorted but ims an exturnel wastegate so cant see yours being this but have a look for kinks anyway you never know

If its boosting to 15psi without having a re-map or a chip it could end up running improper, and dont forget its a Jap car thats meant to run on 100 octane fuel and if you use only optimax(98.6 ron) you could cause det and especailly if its not setup to run that boost.

if you can find a split hose or kinked hose and cant sort the overboosting out then be very careful.

to get up to 100octane you need to run it on optimax and octane boost, i always run both on MY93 WRX but has just been chipped to run on 98 octane fuel.

hope you sort it out.
