Default Gauge readings

Fitted gauges yesterday & would like to clarify readings.

Fitted oil pressure, oil temperature & boost gauges.

What should they be reading on each? idle & load

The boost gauge drops very low negatively when lifting off throttle, also it sounds like the dump valve flutters now (as WRC style), which it didnt before, is this a problem?

Mapped by WRC to 1.5 bar approx.

Boost gauge will read negative when off throttle as the TB is closed and the inlet becomes a vacuum.

The Oil pressure gauges tend to read really high when cold, then the reading settles as the car warms up, shouldn't go bellow 25 odd PSI though..

If you can hear a flutter it might be your waste gate chattering or turbo stalling, make sure the DV is plumed correctly with the boost gauge and is still working. If its a recirc, disconnect the outlet, block the recirc pipe and make sure the piston is opening at idle.

Gauges sorted now.

Redid pipework to dump valve / boost gauge last night after dump valve fluttering (shame I lost the noise) & all ok this am, so must have been an air leak.

Kept getting leaks on the connection to the sandwich plate aswell.

Had a nightmare situation with the electrics though, when the lights or anything electrical was used the readings on all the gauges changed, pressure down & the others up.

Checked everything many times, in the end my electrician used a portable oscilloscope to find that there was interference on the power circuit (noise as he put it).

One small circuit to stabilise the power to the gauges & all OK now, but it was a bit of a head scratcher for a couple of hours last night.
