Will a 98 HKS air filter fit a 96?

Does anyone know if a HKS mushroom type air filter and adapter from a 98 version 3 fit onto a version 2 1996 model??

No, but from what i can gather, the hks filters are pretty naff and you'd be best saving you'r hard earned and going for something different.

Correct - they are lots of better and cheaper and better kits out there.

But if you are using the OE STi2 TMIC then it is a little too small to go for an induction kit due to heat getting to the filter and a small TMIC like that will give higher charge temps which is TROUBLE.

If your going for around 315 bhp, stick with a panel filter unless ytou upgrade your TMIC as well.
