Default td04 swop for vf35. can anyone help

Hi there.
Can anyone please help??
I have a 99 uk scoob with a prodrive pack and im wanting to swop the td04 for a vf35. I am told its a strait bolt on swop over but I need to know what else I will have to get done ie remapping. Also im in northampton and im having a nightmare finding somewhere reliable round here or close to here that can do this work for me.... Dave

not sure how far Paul @ ZEN Performance is from you, but he comes pretty well recomended on here..............can also probably help with an Ecutek re-map from memory

the turbo itself is very straight forward to fit..............

As said turbo is a straight swap.

Will need an ECUTEK (tek3) remap, speak to Andy Forrest.
Also need and uprated fuel pump.

If you want to run quite high boost then possibly an uprated intercooler (sti5/6 are direct replacement or you could go for an sti 8 but takes a bit of work to fit or even a FMIC)
Some people say an uprated Fuel Pressure Regulator.
and if i was doing it, whilst getting the remap have a de-cat downpipe and centre section or Sports Cat.

I've done just that - TD04 to VF35. Planning a 255lph fuel pump and a Power FC remap. The turbo physically fits but, on mine (MY98) the two hard pipes to connect your vacuum hoses onto (on the compressor and the actuator) are in slightly different positions. This means the compressor pipe slightly fouls on one of the hard breather pipes that's attached to the inlet tract. It's not a big problem though.

I was thinking the same thing!

I had mine done in Powerstation, with a group buy that I organised that is still running:

Tewkesbury is a bit closer than Scotland, 72 miles according to Multimap.

I am sure they could do the turbo swap for you too.

does paul do ecuteks?

thought he only did power fcs.

you could call pat, he is mobile enough to come to you, whereas andy would be travelling from scotland (poor bloke). feasible but you would have to wait for a day when the trip is worthwhile for him.

Pat can be contacted on 07803 906141, am not sure of pauls number, but perhaps someone ie. him, could confirm he maps ecuteks.

Paul does do Ecuteks and did the mapping when I swapped over to a VF35 on my wagon.
The VF35 swap is very straightforward but you need to think about how to get more fuel added to cope with the extra air flow.
