I Have just ordered a Power FC and was considering getting a ACVR too but is there any advantage to running a boost controller? or are they just a gagdet

 

The AVC-R will allow you to control boost by rpm points and by gear, you can up the start duty to increase spool up. It also has the option to learn the boost for each gear allowing the boost curve to be smoothed out. It is worthwhile investment imho.
