Default maf - ecu resetting question?

ive just fit a new maf on my version 6 type R,do i NEED to reset my ecu.
im abit worried i may cause problems if i do,i have an ecutec remap and the ecu is running on its limits,i think...398.4bhp/387ftlb.
or can i just leave it alone and learn for its self?

resetting shouldn't cause a problem but that year ecu learns fairly quick so should be fine to just let it learn.
