Default Is there an official Subaru recall for the window motor getting loose?

I recently experienced the problem of the window closing too high and catching on the plastic thing around it. As I travel a lot, I could not take care of it, and at the end, the whole window fell into the door. Basically, all three bolts holding the window motor got loose, and everything fell on the bottom of the door.

Result --> Go to Subaru dealer to fix, they told me it's a common problem, then why the hell they do not check it when you bring the car in for periodic maintenance?

I just want to know if Subaru has made some official recall on this matter (it looks really common), so that I can avoid paying the bill to the dealer.

Thanks,

Andrea

Had the same problem with my Bugeye (MY01)

With more spare time I could have done it as well, but it doesn't matter.

What pisses me off is to get an aswer from the dealer "Yes, it's a common problem", but they did nothing to prevent it!!!

Agreed.

I am aware of at least 4 other examples of this nature.
