I think the pre-MY96 models were 50ltrs and MY96 on were 60ltrs, you could check out www.sidc.co.uk thou as it says there somewhere in FAQ's

Mines a UK94 and I'm darned sure it isn't anywhere near 50 litres. I've NEVER been able to put more than 30 odd litres in it. Even when the fuel warning light is on I've never fitted 40 litres in it.

I fairly sure it can't be 50 litres. If it is I can go much further on a tank

Would the capacity be stamped anywhere on the tank itself ?

I hope it's 60 litres because I've been able to get 56 in my UK95 on one occasion and I didn't hear any dripping

On the back page of the manual it says and I'm sure the Turbo has a 60 litre tank, other Imprezas 50 litres.

Doesn't really matter, I'm sure mine must have a leak as I'm always filling up

Oh dear,
Ive a MY95 RA and I reckon its 50 litres.
The fuel guage on Impreza's is s**t though. Its reads no fuel when you've got 5 litres left...

I got a Jap '95 with a 60 litre tank.

1) Have put at least 50litres into it a couple of times, and

2) Although I can't read Japanese, can see "60 l" somewhere in the manual...

I have a 50 litre tank on my face lift 97my and im not bull ****ting ya as from zero fuel in the tank to full up with sul only costs me around 38 quid. I honestly thought 97 cars onwards had the 60 litre tank but obviously not all of us have.
