Re map/mappable ecu, bigger turbo (TD05/VF35 etc), 440+ injectors, ported headers should do it. Just realised that you have a crappy slanty TMIC - get cheap FMIC or later TMIC (I have a MY99 TMIC for sale that should reach your power target).

VF30

The VF30 is commonly considered the best bang for the buck turbo in the IHI VF series line. A relatively new model the VF30 features the same exhaust housing as the VF24 but a larger compressor side similar to the VF22. The combination of these two parts results in increased output potential without the lag associated with the VF22. Although it doesn't offer the top end supremacy of the VF22, the VF30 is a great compromise between these unit and the quicker spooling models.

VF35

VF35 The VF35 has identical internals as the VF30 and it uses divided thrust bearings. However, the exhaust housing is a P15 which means this turbo will have fantastic spool characteristics. This turbo is standard on the new WRX Type RA. LIMITED SUPPLY.

TD05 may give a bit more top end and a bit more total power over the VF35 but the VF should spool quicker IMO.

I retained standard injectors (380) on my UK97 and didn't bother with the ported headers or upgrading the TMIC. With supporting mods I acheived 320 bhp.

Turbo was TD05 FE and went with the apexi pcf mapped by Andy F. Can not recommend him enough.

MY93 ~ MY96 WRX 4 door has TD05 already.. but with a 90degree intake.

The crap slanty intercooler needs changing and a remap (Apexi PFC or Link being very good value for money) should see you into the 300s.. uprate the fueling and should see you further into the 300s..as more boost can be run whilst remap is done etc.
