Question Non-Starter (an oldie but it's worth asking again)

It's happenned to us all but what do you do again?
Car parked in a garage , turned key , engines turns but doesn't fire . Not a sausage . I'm sure I never touched the gas but if I did ,what next ?
I read somewhere that you can slowly depress the gas pedal , turn the key and release the gas as soon as it catches . Won't this flood the engine ?
What is the magic sequence . (I'm dreading going to the car this afternoon even though it's done 135,000 miles and it's always started perfectly).

It don't really matter if you touched the throttle the ecu controls the fueling so you would'nt have flooded it, Anyway do you have a CEL on or anycodes try taking the crankshft sensor out and give it a clean this controls the spark.
