Default Lambda and FCD problems

Whenever I try and use my fuel cut defencer the Lambdalink starts to behave unusually ! When I adjust the FCD from normal the lambda lights as if the engine is running lean.... ( rather than all lights being green on throttle they are now orange ) and the engine also doesn't seem to run as smooth.
I have been afraid to use the fcd even though wired up.

Any thoughts...

It almost sounds like there is a shorting / earthing issue as one should not affect the other if wired correctly !!!

Dean
Have you used a permanent live feed for the Fcd ??? & not an ignition one as stated in the destructions ??? The Ignition live can give Cel issues during engine cranking !!!

Thanks for the reply,

Its wired to the 12v that supplies the ecu, never had any cel issues with it though. It seems odd that they might be interfering with each other, the fcd works but only in making the car run badly, I turned the fcd dial to 4 once, the car drove as if it had been flooded with no power at all and lumpy engine.

Give the Fcd it's own permanent live feed & Earth!!! The Fcd may be interfering with the Ecu's live !!!

Tee into one behind the Stereo perhaps, Get yourself a little electrical tester to make life easier. If you have the Afr Gauge on the Ecu's live , I would move that also. It's not good practice to use the Ecu's feeds !!

No None what so ever, The device will just have a feed sat there not being used, & if it were being used it would be minimal. Ive had my Fcd wired up with a permanent live for years
