Default VTA back to oe recirc DV - advise please gents

I'm changing the Blitz BOV that I inherited on my car back to the recirc effort.

My car is an MY99 STI engine with FMIC. Will an appropriately plumbed blobeye DV fit as I have been offered one?

Help appreciated as ever

James

Depends on your FMIC.

some kits have a flange to suit the o.e DV. if this is the case the mounting holes will be different to the DV

New age mounting holes are 8mm clearance, 105mm apart, with the IC hole 28mm diameter 12mm offset from the centre line.

Thanks for the response.

It's an HKS FMIC (FWIW)

Yes, sorry – first post not very clear

If your existing BOV is for MY99, the flange its mounted too will not accept the MY01 recirc. It will bolt on but the central hole will not align with the inlet to the DV.

You have a choice, either make or source an adapter to suit the MY01 re-circ, or get hold of a standard MY99 recirc.

The other thing you have to look at is mounting it in such a way that it meets up with the recirc pipe (leading back to the inlet pipe) – or extend the recirc pipe.

Bit difficult to explain but will be very clear once you have them in your hands.

Pic of the adapter plates I’m waffling on about, and of a version8 forge recirc mounted on a classic with a Hybrid FMIC.
