Post Ebay FMIC

What's the opinion of this. I count about 1300degrees bend(s)! and 15ish' ft of pipe work but it is very cheap! does anyone konw of the header constuction..??? the internal volume is huge!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Is it maybe worth using the core with a inlet manifold mounted 180 degrees with custom pipework??

Could do with an opinion since it goes against logic but is very cheap?!!!! The core alone may be worth it

Dave

I've seen quite a few of these selling on e-bay, It seems they ship from Hong Kong, probably due to the lack of bids. Depends on if you want to risk your money or not, I'd tend to find a U.K seller and pay a little more for peace of mind.

From: West Sussex-Scoob stripped :( Hello Audi A6 4.2V8 Quattro :)
Thumbs up Intercooler

RB5 245,
The first picture of the intercooler is the one I purchased recently from Hong Kong, The quality is very good, although you don't get the samco hose that connects the turbo to the front mount pipe.
He doesn't state this in the ad, which I felt it should, also he forgot to send the bolts and brackets .......................we had words

The other problems I encountered...when fitting to a 95 engine bay it doesn't fit exactly............................the turbo side pipe had to be cut, and the manifold pipe had to be cut, both then had samco inserts allowing the lengthening of the pipes to be fitted.

However having my car mapped recently the intercooler worked very well bringing my inlet temps right down, and allowing 1.4 BAR on a modified 2.5 lump.

One more thing, your front bumper will need a lot of cutting back....so be prepared to butcher your bumper

Kev

Just bought mine from a very well known source, Harvey.
Came from Hong Kong via Harvey, came with pipes, all Samco and some additional parts from Harvey to finish the installation.

The quality looks good and everything in the transaction was sound, no fuss, no bother.

What could be better?

Graham.

Do you mind me asking how much please? I'm considering one at the moment and don't know what to do.

Thanks
