Default castrol rs 10w60 fully synthetic

anyone using it?

It depends on the oil temps, year of car and modifications.

Post 2000 cars are set up to run sae 40
Pre 2000 cars either sae 40 or sae 50

If oil temps never exceed 100degC, do not use an sae 60 as it will remain too thick causing friction, heat and wear.

thanks i use 10w40 duckhams q seems fine so i think i will stick with it

Subaru sell their own sti branded oil in japan, for post 2000 cars is available in 5w-40 for street use and 10w-60 for hard use, and 15w50 for pre 2000 models.

Is Duckhams Q fully synthetic?...Nationwide tyres were doing a filter change and upto 5 litres of Q for £15

I doubt it at that price, do you what grade it is? 10w-40 etc?

10/40 as dadoc says.I use it in wifes car Nationwide bloke says its the new QXR

Most 10w-40 oils are semi synthetic, full synthetics tend to be 5w-40 or 0w-40.
