pulleys and tensioners are an "inspection" rather than a specific failure type..............just have a good check of them all while the belts off, and the main crank oil seal on the oil pump cover too............

Hi m8, its the idler pulleys you need ....only replace if there worn, same with the tensioner aswell. crank seal, cam seals and check the oil pump.

Just replaced the cambelt on my sti 4 with 52000 miles (60,000km, 12,000 miles). Bought the belt from camskill for £50. They advised me to check the tensioners first rather than buy brand new replacments before fitting.
Paid an experienced mechanic friend £120 to fit. He said that all tensioners were fine and no leak from crank seal.

Subaru wanted £250 Labour, £200 parts! You can imagine what I told them to do!
