Question DV position on fmic pipework

Just installed a HKS fmic and found that the DV is on the turbo side of the intercooler, rather than near the throttle body.
As I use a recirculate DV this means I am putting hot air back into the system. How much will this effect the charge temp? You can see the feed coming off just after the turbo

My pipe work seems to be different from other HKS kits I have seen, should I consider changing it? Or won't it make a difference.
Cheers

The dump valve should be as close to the throttle body as possible. Could you take a picture showing where the dump valve is sited as they should help figure out what is possibly wrong. Cheers Steve

Red face

Hi Steve,I have highlighted the take off for the dump valve, it follows immediately off the turbo.

The dump valve position is there becasue you have the pipework for a MY92-96 Impreza. And the standard dump valve is there on that year...

I sold a HKS kit with freshly powder coated pipework to rossyboy on here, the pipework was from a MY99/00 kit but he has a MY92-96. Maybe you two should do a deal .

Tony.

Hi,

I'll send him an e-mail and point this out to him. But his e-mail address is on the works PC so i can get it tomorrow. You could do a search using user name before that tho.... think it's all lower case, rossyboy.

He may just say a blank no... but could be worth a try. Would solve a few fittment issues for you both. What dump valve are you running, the pipes i gave to Ross have a 35mm T (with samco 25mm reducer on) pretty much where you have the DV fitted now.

Tony.

I could be interested, but my problem is that Tony sent so much stuff up (extra clips and joints) that I have no idea what all to send down. It hasn't come out of the box yet, so obviously I have no idea how it all fits together.

Do I send everything apart from the core?

Will email and PM Tony so that he can advise.

Looks like you got a better answer than I could have given. Hope you get things sorted.
