HESITATION/SPLUTTERING NOW GONE
hopefully the hesitation/spluttering has gone, well it appears to have so far. Took the car out for 1 hrs, steady driving then progressive driving 
- sweet as a nut again. 
yipee.
Disconected the battery 24 hrs, replaced spark plugs from Denso PK20PR-L11 to NGK PFR 7B and they only cost me £40 inc VAT.
Took the intercooler off to try and check the knock sensor - gave up as it was still to difficult to get to.
Checked that all connectors were tight and no splits in any pipes - put it all back together and so far its back to normal.
The plugs looked clean but the gap was slightly bigger that the NGKs which came out of the box. The colour of the plugs was like a stained rusty dark brown reddish colour. I put this down to possible, the additive which I put in the tank.
Roll on the next Peak Run - if you've not been you should.
