Apex'i PFC owners!?
hey guys, i own a V4 sti type r with Apexi PFC fitted by andy f..just wondering what kinda knock u see on ur display from time to time? what level should u worry about etc? mine has never went higher than 17 (when i had to put 95ron in) but other than that when im giving it some right foot it can go to 11 or 12,is this fine or whats the story on it??

Will vary from car to car.
17 is a low figure.
I get upto 35, but its not detting. ( had it double checked by the mapper with det cans )

If your getting 11 or 12 you must be driving it like a *****!
Seriously though I tend to average around about 12 -14, have seen low 20's on occasion (usually a few miles after filling up) and maximum has been I think 50 or 60 (cel illuminated as well) this was probably down to a failing coil pack though which i have just replaced.

seems to work well, she hasnt seen anwhere near 20 no matter how hard i drive her, so 10 or 11 is good

last time i spoke to andy f he says 60 is the point where to start worrying and CEL light will flash to inform of knock so dont worry at all on that any where up to 40 is ok from what he said. IMHO

I have heard the pinging noise at 2800 rpm with det cans and the PFC was showing nothing at that rpm so its better to listen the engine with detcans.
I put a stop light into my gauge pod and splitted CEL cable. It works great =) You must be blind not to see it.
