HOW DO YOU PORT CLASSIC HEADERS
Does anyone know the technique on 'How to port headers'.
I would appreciate instructions.
What equipment to use.
and
Pitfalls if any.
Cheers

self porting
Hi Floyd
good write up, cheers.
I have a 3'' rage middle and back box.
going to get a sports cat down pipe, to stay leagal.
so, is it a real pig to do, if so I will try and get someone to port the headers for me.

Not a real pain to do if you have a die grinder and carbide burrs!
A drill and stones will not be good enough, or will take you ages....
Harvey will do the porting if you don't feel up to it

THOSE PESKY HEADERS NEED PORTING
Hello everyone
I emailed Harvey awhile back, with no reply. All the threads say Harvey's ported headers are the Dogs *ollocks.
If anyones in contact with him, please give let him know. I will keep trying.
Thanks for the replies.

Just started doing this on a spare set of headers I have. The Carbide Burr tip was a really good one thanks for that Floyd. My question is do you need to port both sides of every joint in the headers or just the receiving side of the joints with respect to gas flow?.
Thanks.
Thanks.
