You could try checking your sensors are fitted correctly i had a similar problem before an the gbox sender had popped out.
I also dont get any fault codes on my93 wrx ecu even when i know somethings wrong, the garage diagnostics comp cant read it either could be time for an apexi i think.

the only thing that happens is it drives like 'normal' for about 10-15minutes then 'Limp' mode. (This is after I reset the ECU). But nothing is showing on the error codes. Im thinking of whacking in a new ECU and be done with it!
cheers lads

Any faults before the fc is fitted (unless its an ecu fault) will still be there with the fc, and because the car will probably be mapped closer to the edge so to speak, there is more chance of something going wrong.....
This is my problem I cant seem to get the car to be in 'good running order'!!!!! I'd love to get one they sound great, but i think id end up with an engine in pieces! ah well new ECU on the way for a start, after that who knows!

Tried to reply to your message but your inbox is full swift so ill just post in here.
It did and didnt the car ran well for a while but then just started having the same problems as before which i discovered was a sensor fault an took a bit of fiddling about to do. I duno whether or not an ecu will solve your problem as if its a sensor somewhere thats not working then the new ecu will just pick it up again. Have you got any subaru specialists near you, or garages that are recommended by friends as being good? you could maybe go an visit them an see what they think. Im sure someone on here could recommend somewhere for you if you put up a post with your rough location.
I usualy put my car to one of two places near me, both of them use subarus for rallying an know a fair bit about them when i was having problems they said to look at other things before the ecu as ecu's very rarely go faulty on a car. Hope ive been of some help.

I think i need to get it into a specialist and be done with it. Im gona get a new ecu anyway as its a better one than ive got at the moment. Hopefully it might help.
