Default Rattling noise from rear

I have a MY05 WRX and have recently noticed a rattling noise when going over bumps etc.

It is coming from the boot area and I have nothing in there that appears to be loose. I am concerned that its making funny noises already, as my car has only covered 4500 miles!!

Any ideas what it might be?

Thanks

Gaz

There is a rear suspension knock problem that is common on the new-ages. This involves the top mounts / struts in that an in-perfect fit allows play and results in the rattle. I would of thought your's would have the revised top mounts already fitted though.

My car, a 2001, makes the occassional rattle / knock type noise from the back over the odd bump. I haven't been able to find anything loose in the boot etc that would cause it either. It's a relatively rare occurance on mine though and not something I worry about. I know of a fair few other new-age owners who have reported similar occassional noises like this from the back.

How often does yours do it?
