I've gotsomeof the Millers stuff on order, but won't reach me until a few days. I need some pretty fast.

Where can I get some around the Chester area today? Do Halfords sell any that are decent?

Thanks!!!!

forget millers, try this

Formula #1 - Toluene
R+M/2.........114
Cost...........$2.50/gal
Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium
10%...........94.2 Octane
20%...........96.4 Octane
30%...........98.6 Octane
Notes: Common ingredient in Octane Boosters in a can. 12-16 ounces will only raise octane 2-3 *points*, i.e. from 92 to 92.3. Often costs $3-5 for 12-16 ounces, when it can be purchased for less than $3/gal at chemical supply houses or paint stores

or see full thread in projects under meths and petrol mixing

Try the above formula at your peril.
You need to be able to adjust ARFs and know what you are doing. Mess with it in ignorance and run the chance of wrecking your engine.
IMHO you require a wide band O2 that you can rely on plus EGT.

Roger Clark Motorsport amongst others can send out NF octane booster, next day delivery.

Cheers Alyn, do you stock the x10 boxes of the Millers? Could you PM me a price for x10? Cheers.

Bought some of that STP stuff, hope it's OK!!!!!!!!!

Q- When it says on the back of the Millers 'raises octane rating by 2-3 points' does this mean from 98ron to 100ron or 98 to 98.2 ??????

the Millers "oct+" raises the octane by a full 2ron minimum...........that 20 octane points, a lot of the cheap rubbish mentions octane points to fool you into parting with your cash thinking its working!!

yep we carry the 10x in stock............

Alyn : I have to disagree with you. Octane Plus from Millars that I have here, that probably came from you, states "2 Octane Points" That is .2 RON.
Millars CVL that also came from you and is more expensive, and is one bottle per 20 litres of petrol, raises the RON by 2. ie with Octane Plus 97 becomes 97.2 and 20 litres of 97 becomes 99 RON with a bottle of CVL.

must be ano older label Harvey as i know they have changed their wording because of confusion, however, they have always increased RON by the following;

VSP (treats 50 ltrs) - 2 RON (lead substitute for classic type cars)
Octane+ (treats 50ltrs) - 2RON (catalyst freindly)
CVL (treats 20ltrs) - 3 RON (m/sport use, includes a lead substitue)
CVL Turbo (treats 20ltrs) - 4 RON

hope this helps, alyn
