Hybrid TD04's - anybody got experience of them?
Considering a hybrid TD04 at some point. Main reasons are wanting to retain the early spool up characteristics and am not in a position to uprate the rest of the car (newage WRX) such that it can make best use of a TD05 etc.
Has anybody fitted one of these and if so what other modifications were necessary? Did you manage to get away with using the standard 380cc injectors for example? Also how did the power / torque curve change - believe 300bhp plus can be expected with free flowing exhaust and filter?

Even with the factory TD04 and correct mods plus good mapping 300ps are realistic IMHO.
Last few cold days I dynoed many times my car with DD road dyno and shows me always between 245-260ps at the wheels (which is more or less 300ps at the flywheel), quite impressed I could say.
The only problem after 5400-5500rpms injector duties are more than 100% although mixture is still reach.

Andy (F) does a nice hybrid I believe, check in the shop. Here in Switzerland an RS2 KKK compressor wheel fits nicely and produces good spool with a 7 degree clip.
