Sports cat downpipe - will it need remapping?
I've got a 2001 bug-eye and already have fitted a Green panel filter, performance backbox and two straight through centre sections, removing the centre cat.
The car hasn't been remapped yet. If I fit a sports cat downpipe will I be able to get away without a remap?

Well you can get away with it, yes. But it's worth doing and the downpipe will have made a difference, effectively upping the flow rate of the whole exhaust from the turbo back.

I know you are strongly advised to remap a newage if fitting a de-cat downpipe to prevent overboost and other problems. A sports-cat downpipe should offer 'some' back pressure at least, but I don't want to push it too far to be anything other than safe on the standard map.
Glad it looks like you can get away with it. They are going for a good price on the H&S group buy running at the moment.
