TD05h 18G or TD05h 20G from deadbolt enterprises
www.boostplanet.com

the 18g slightly less laggy and has less top end than the 20g
the 20g is awesome, less lag than vf23 and more top end than vf22 by FAR
the vf 34 and 35 arent even in the same league

Depend what power target you have.
The VFs for a gearbox friendly 350 bhp (but can be forced higher).
TD05 varieties for higher targets.

Andy Forest does some very good modified Turbos.
I would check out his web site first.

for a wrx , I would consider a TD05-16gFE. this on the wrx rev limit will feel more suited , the 20g peaks a bit too high for non-sti limits imo.

TD05-16g (and above) can produce more torque than your gearbox can handle.

Be better if you told us what your goals are?

I would look closely at the VF series.

Also consider one of AndyFs TD04 Hybrids.

the vf35 on my Forester even in on the current td04 map is night/day compared to the old snail....

Somewhere around 300/300 is the goal, but retaining the drivability of the small turbo.

I'd go for the TD04 Hybrid Paul.

Easy 300bhp and similar torque but full boost from 2600rpm unlike either the vf35 or td05.

Here is a recent run at PE on an 01 WRX with a sports cat. 1.4 bar mid, 1.0 bar at the top

90% of full of torque available from 2500rpm to 6500rpm

hello Andy,
I have read on here about the hybrid TD04 that you have. I am interested in one. Question is I have a remap (ecutek on MY01) can you remap to enable the turbo to be effective.

Thats my speciality Paul I'll check it out, if in good condition then it may not require a full rebuild.

I believe they are £400+vat on exchange basis or £600+vat non-exchange, from AndyF.

I would also recommend his mapping services
