Defi EGT gauge/sender
I'll be damned if I can work out how the probe is held solidly in the fitting?!
Ive got the probe, a double sided threaded coupler for the manifold boss, a top piece that screws into the coupler with a hole for the probe to pass through and two washers.
1 cone shaped and one circular with a slight lip on one face.
Ive tried all sorts of ways but obviously the probe needs to be solidly held or it will blow straight out.
please help me, Im melting

The probe should push into (not through) the coupler then the top nut screws down to hold the probe tight.
If it's new you might have to put the cone on the probe and then insert it into the coupler (larger hole side)
Is the circular washer with a lip a crush washer? Probably goes between the boss and the coupler
I have my coupler on the desk infront of me, but I bought it 2nd hand so it already had the coupler assembled.

cheers, I understand it, but its the orientation of the cone and the crush washer thats getting me knickers twisted, no matter how I try it, (admittedly only hand tight at the moment) I cant get it to lock into place, probe still loose enough to remove with it screwed together.
