Default Help! More power please!!!

I have a 2001 WRX sportwagon with PPP that i use as a daily drive. I fanct eeking out a bit more power from the old girl but i don't want to effect the reliability and i don't want to undertake and major works.

Anybody got any idea's?

just remap it then....maybe take the downpipe cat off too...should free up a few ponies

The engine has already been re-mapped with the PPP, can it be mapped again?

yep, chances are if its a 2001 it will be a chip type, the remap will reflash the whole ECU, so the chip will be removed and you can sell it on if you so chose too...

you will have to pay anywhere between 500+vat to 650+vat for the remap, but then after that if you do any further mods you just pay for map time as the software licenceis stored on your ECU

didn't know that age of car had a replacement chip!

pre 2003 PPPs were supplied as a piggyback chip.....(the 245bhp) version.

2003 and on, used an ECUTek flash developed by prodrive that reflashed the whole ECU with the PPP map.

Yes Adam, early bugeye PPPs were a chip.
