If you are not sure which wires to change over then I would suggest getting it fitted and mapped professionally.

But thats just my advice

Let the mapper you choose/wire start it up m8, If you have gone to the expense of the pfc it would be a shame to toast it.

Its not something to fit Ewan, its just the wires need swapped over at the ECU.
It only applies to the UK cars, on your Sti it will be a direct 'plug-in' fit.

Cheers for that mate! You just persuaded me! Bought it!!!!

Can it improve your fuel-economy?

How have you found it?

I like the fact that it has an in built knocklink sensor!

Just need to find out where to get a dashboard holder for the FC Commander now!

I use a mobile phone holder for my commander, it looks like it was made for it, as for fuel economy it depends on how often you choose to use the extra power, and the knock link is a pukker expanding bar type which also stores a numerical knocking peak ,so if you do get any det during a drive you will know how bad it was.

Thats great mate! Thanks!
I dont know much about these knocklinks. Sounds like a good system. Does it give you a warning of the different Knock levels like the normal boxes, ie. Green, Yellow, red. (I know it wont flash like the normal tacky ones!)
At least I won't need to buy one of those ugly knocklink boxes!

for a warning, your mapper will programme your engine warning light to flash if a certain amount of knock is detected on the commander, mine is set on 40, having this is very handy as most of the time when you are driving you wont be watching the commander and a flashing engine light shure gets your attention. also the commander can be programed with more than 1 level of boost, so you might have it set at 1bar for everyday driving and with a few buttons pushed you could be running say 1.3 bar safely if you feel like a blast. your mapper can programme the preset boost levels with fueling and timing to boot, so no need for a boost controller either. you will be very pleased with it I think, it realy is a top bit of kit.

It has improved my fuel economy loads, just filled up now and got just over 240 miles from the tank, that was with a bit of spirited driving as well. Before the powerfc was fitted, I was getting approx 180 miles per tank on average (manged over 200 miles twice on long runs). Worked out its going to save me approx 80 - 100 pounds per month, so paid for in no time.
I have also found even if you do use the extra power, fuel economy seems no worse than before (this is on my car though which was overfuelling badly as It only has a vf series turbo when it should have a tdo5 and the original ecu was for the td05)

As regards for how Ive found it, well ......................
