VF35 on my 97 WRX import
Hi people,
After years of turning my head at other peoples I've now gone and got a scoobie all of my own and picked up a 97 WRX import. Now last week I got all stupid and killed the turbo and have replaced the VF22 with a VF35 and have a few questions/obsevations.
1, the VF35 seems to be a lot noisier when letteing off the throttle than the 22 was is that normal?
2, I can clearly hear the dump vavle now (factory recirculating). Surely not normal.
Could these both be caused by an air leak on the turbo inlet? the hose was in pretty poor condition, or just because i'm getting more boost now (0.7 against 0.5)
3, I've seen advice that a re-map/ECU upgrade is advisable after the VF35 upgrade is this true? Is there anything else I should know?
