Default Remap

Guys,

I have a RB5 with Either a Tek2 or Tek3,I'm not sure which as the previous owner had this done.

The garage I bought the car from don't know whats been done, but I do know that the car has 246BHP as I have the RR Graph from the garage.

My question is that at the moment I have a Ninja Backbox with a magnex centre decat with the intentions of buying a decat downpipe. If I change for the Decat downpipe would the car need a remap or will it work fine as it already has a Tek2 or Tek3.

Wouldn't think you'll have any big problems with fitting the D/P, but bear in mind that the car was mapped without it, so to get the best out of the change would make sense to get the map tweeked. If it's already been Tek'd, it won't be crazy money to get it done

Well it is being remapped early next year as I'm having a FMIC & TD05 turbo fitted.

So I'm hoping for something big from that.

It should be fine without a re-map instantly, however, i would be inclined not to push it til the turbo etc and re-map is done, dare i suggest waiting to fit the d/p til the turbo's done, the d/p has to come off for that job anyway...??

Would also advise you to uprate the injectors to 550cc items, before the remap.

My my00 with tdo5 has the original 440's, and thats fine til you really start pushing the limits of boost....which i'm not doing.. hence the 440's....
