Fititng the knocklink...any tips?

Default Fititng the knocklink...any tips?

Ive got to replace the knocklink sensor AGAIN!!!!, is it best to fit the new sensor when the engine is A. Up to temp or B. when cold.

also is it a good idea to use loctite?

any tips would be appreicated people.

Doesn't make any difference if it's hot or cold

Don't use locktite, and don't overtighten it as you will damage the sensor

Most sensor are not design to be glued in...

but they are VERY torque sensitive!

How tight are you doing them up to?

Well the previous sensor had been over tightened as it had a crack in it. So i tried to avoid that when i fitted the last one. Saying that i did get it off ebay for 12 squids! Lets just say it was just borderline on 'tight'
