Default washing i/c

going to fit a catch tank to the breathers as i am getting a lot of oil comming
out of the vta.
would it be ok to remove the i/c & wash it out with gunk etc as there is oil in there too

That would do it, but I used to use petrol and leave it to stand a while then swill it about and drain off.
Leave to dry for an hour or so.

Once you have done the vent tank mod you won't need to do it again.

agre with 911 about using petrol,it is a much better cleaner and the remainder will evaporate.

Bit naughty on the environment too! but I think gunk will leve a residue in the narrow tube pack of the IC.
I left an air line gently blowing through the IC to ensure all was evaporated.
