3 port boost question
Can i just say a quick hello to everyone,as you can tell im a noob but have owned my00uk for 2 years now.I have been visiting sn for sometime but have never posted. One more thing (pslewis),i love reading your posts and replies keep up the good work.
Right, going for the remap soon my00uk,i have fitted a 3 port boost solenoid but running it of boost no vac hoses plumbed in.I have wired it up and i do not get a cel,so i presume all is ok.Just out of interest i plugged in the 2 black connectors under the steering wheel and got a code44(boost solenoid). Is this normal? due to the 3 port has to be mapped in? I don't want to turn up on the day with problems that need to be sorted prior to remap.
thanks
Jason

Hold on...
Have you reset the ecu? if you have no CEL then it may be that you just switched the ignition on without a solenoid at some point and it has registered that fault code in the ecu.
Reset the ecu, then see what codes you have.
