Default Pulling to the left

I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or not but since I've changed to 18" wheels, my car seems to pull to the left.

However, in addition to this change I've had:

Avon ZZ3 tyres (235/40/ZR18 - came with the wheels)
Eibach springs
Powerstation geometry and alignment

The geometry stats seem to indicate that the car is now setup perfectly but I'm convinced it pulls to the left. Problem is I'm not sure it isn't due to the road camber.

Will having 18" wheels 'magnify' the effect of tramlining that often occurs with scoobs (especially on certain tyres)?

I may get a second opinion from a fellow scoob owner frst by getting them to drive it and I'm also considering getting back in touch with PS to see if I can have it checked by them - it's an hours drive to them though.

Thanks in advance.

Did you just have the springs done? if so, it's worth getting the geom checked over again when they have settled a bit..

I believe the wider tyres will have a tendency to tramline more and pull with the camber, I guess you have gone from 215's to the 235's..

225/40/R18's. Maybe I'll give Powerstation a call and arrange to go back for a checkup.

Whenever I suspect this on a car or that the steering wheel is slightly offcentre, I'm one of those ***** who can't tolerate that, I find a non cambered surface to check. Then drive with barely any grip on the steering wheel.
I have found that sometimes if you swap front wheels over this cures it.
Not possible with directional tyres of course without removing tyres.
Are tyres new? Not unknown for a tyre to be slightly out of round.
Then of course brakes, any binding?
Wheel seating sufaces clean?

As above really, find nice quite road and when nothing is coming the other way drive down the centre of the road, you'll probably find it tracks straight then. You may have tyre pull though, even with new tyres, in which case you need to find a company with a hunter gsp9000 wheel balancing machine which will match tyre positioning to the correct place on the alloys, balance them and measure tyre pull for all 4 wheels and then tell you which corner to put each tyre on.

Yes, they are new tyes and one of the rear wheels (the one on the left funnily enough) has LOADS of weight stuck to it.

Maybe a defective/badly moulded tyre was fitted?
