Question What Oil?

Hello people my scooby is going in for its first full service on friday and my mechanic friend has recomended I supply him the oil as what they use in his workshop is not up to the job (MG Dealer) ?

He has recomended is Castrol RS 0/40 but what are your recomendations for a Classic 97 UK Turbo?

Any input would be apreciated ?

Thanx Chris...

I recommend doing a search. Many LONG threads about oil choices.

Put aside a couple of hours though!

do not use any 0w oil............................

plenty of options but as a min. i would use a hi-quality 10w40 full synth...............Motul or Millers being our preference...............

Or to put it simply..semi synthetic 10/40 is fine... 5/40 fully synthetic or similar is even better

do a search on oilman - he's the expert and his company Opie Oils sells all the best brands at reasonable prices - he would probably recommend a 5W40 Fully Synthetic as a good all round compromise.
