oil change sorry
right i have an MY02 wrx with full decat including before turbo up pipe, sti7 cooler and pipe work and bonnet scoop, k+n pannel filter
i have been using 5w/30 semi synth oil since the car had 19000 mile on the clock it now has 43000. i was speaking to richie from sg petch in richmond about oil, he explained that the engines he had stripped which had been on 5w/30 oil showed signs of wear on the valves and cams, and the ones ran on 10w/40 were a lot better and sounded better no rattles etc.
well i took his advise and use 10w/40 instead
WOW WOW WOW WOW
Who has swapped my car for a WR1 jesus christ its a different car
goes like stink, sounds better, picks up better, better response on light throttle, runs smoother, god the list goes on and on and on. all the niggly nasty qwerks flat spots i had before are gone, god i cant wait to get her baCK ON THE DRAG STRIP, all ready checked my speed on the markers we have on the local roads god she flys i expect a good 0.5 secs coming of the 1/4 mile time,
IMHO they run better on 10w/40 and not 5w/30 as the book says for the new age scooby's.
