Default Water Injection Pressure and boost Question

If you have a 3.1bar pump doesn't the flow rate need to be over double the boost pressure for the WI to work properly ?

So 3.1bar pump would only work correctly @ 1.55 bar boost pressure. So anyone over that boost will have to use a higher pressured pump...

Does it work in that way ?

Any formula's to work out this ? for say 2.5bar ?

I know on the Aquamist setup the pump pressure is between 10 - 14 bar to provide better atomisation and is dependant upon which size jet is used

Cheers

Whatever pressure the flows at atmospheric, you need to deduct your boost pressure to see what the water pressure will be when working.

I would suggest that you test the jets for atomisation, before fitting to the car, because like Delboy says, the ERL/Aquamist jets are designed to work at circa 8bar, and I doubt they will work at 2-3bar.

Other brands of jets may be different, but I really doubt they'll atomise at low pressure, and if they don't, at best it just won't work.

2.5bar boost and 3.1bar maximum pressure of the flowjet pump....

.6bar is the remainder LOL...

I have the ERL 0.7 and 1.0 jets to try out at the moment...but get the feeling that the pump aint gonna work.....
