how easy would it be to swap the rear lights over from a jap car and put UK ones in as to have the proper fog light instead of some dodgy looking one on the bumper

You can disconnect one of the reverse lights and put a fog light in and re-wire.

Thats if you really need rear fogs.

i need rear fogs for sva test, that sounds like a good idea but will it pass the sva test ????

Steve daft as it sounds i have been informed a few times that for an SVA std lights will NOT pass??!!

apparently the fog is too close to the tail light.......................

there are a whole load of precise measurements you need to abide by, be as well to get in touch with DVLA and get some specs from them...........

Safe side just bolt a cheap fog lamp to the side of the rear plate and wire into loom. You can fit std UK rear lights or frig the Jap ones with red paint on a bulb after the SVA. SVA is different to MOT, the SVA have a very fine tooth comb on the regs.
