Default Fuel cut not working

Just set up my hks fuel cut defencer, but it only seems to lower the fuel cut and not increase it. As soon as I turn it from 12(normal) to 10 or below the car runs badly on slight boost acceleration.
As far as I can tell, I have followed the instructions correctly splitting the MAP sensor wire and attaching the (Hks yellow wire) to the wire to the ecu ,, and the white away from the ecu.
The only thing I can think is that its wired the wrong way but would that mean it works in reverse and lowers the cut.
Will swap the wires and see...

Well it doesn't work in reverse, the cel comes on and cuts out after starting.
I have used this and the Hks intructions to find the MAP sensor wire and they both confirm that 17 B136 is correct.

Also have an apexi avc-r but I can't see how that can cause the problem.

Any ideas ??

Just double checked everything that could possibly be wrong with 4 wires and found nothing.
It works fine on setting 12(normal cut ) but as soon as I adjust it it runs poorly and the lower I set it, the worse it runs. (only on boost) Feels like an old carb car with the choke out.

Any ideas.......
