Question Best Blow Off / Dump Valve?

I'm after one for my Type-R STi V5.
Whats the best one for quality and sound?

I've heard that messing about with things like this in a V5 can lead to MAF sensor failure. Is this true?

Whats the difference between a Blow Off and Dump Valve?

Most "techies" will recommend a recirc one (of which the standard item is more than capable). If fitting a VTA one, then the car will overfuel on gearchange. You will also run the risk of being labelled a "chav, ned" etc.

Can't see how they could lead to MAF failure though!

Me, I have an HKS VTA valve on my 5 Type R ltd, and love it!

I'm not a big fan of VTA dump valves, but the best sounding that i've heard though is the Blitz one, real woosh to it.

The HKS one sounds too 'tinny' if you know what I mean
